Job Description and Responsibilities

The Lansdowne Economic Development Corporation (LEDC) is a nonprofit dedicated to promoting a sustainable and thriving economy in the Borough of Lansdowne through strategic community and economic development initiatives. LEDC enhances the borough’s historic, walkable character by engaging the public through the arts, supporting local creative entrepreneurs, and strengthening community vitality.

The Festival and Market Coordinator is responsible for project managing, planning, and executing LEDC’s three annual art festivals (Arts on the Ave, A Bit of the Arts, Open|Open|Open) as well as coordinating the Lansdowne’s farmers markets vendor admissions. The Festival and Market Coordinator executes programs in alignment with the LEDC strategy under the direction of the Executive Director, with input from relevant committees (A Bit of the Arts Committee, Arts on the Ave Committee, and Lansdowne Farmers Market Committee)

This role is highly collaborative and requires ongoing, day-to-day coordination with LEDC staff. The Festival and Market Coordinator is not a siloed position. Success in this role depends on clear communication, shared planning, and integration with broader organizational priorities, timelines, and systems.

Responsibilities

This role prioritizes vendor coordination and management as its core responsibilities. Event support and marketing contributions are secondary and will be scaled based on capacity.
 

Festival Planning and Execution (Primary)

Lead planning and execution of three major art festivals throughout their lifecycles from the first planning meeting to the post show debrief.

Serve as the primary point of contact for artists, vendors, volunteers, and collaborators.

Develop work  timelines and ensure alignment with LEDC’s broader calendar and capacity.

Work with the larger LEDC team on festival collateral and assets.

Track and report metrics tied to Festivals and audience engagement.
 

Farmers Market Vendor Coordination 

 

Maintain consistent and clear data management of the Lansdowne Farmers Market schedule and data base 

Curate and manage the vendor schedule to reduce overlap or scheduling gaps

Work closely with the farmers market committee and LEDC team to oversee coordination of the Musician of the Week program, Artist of the Week program, and weekly children’s activities. 

 

Internal Coordination and Operations 

Maintain consistent, proactive communication with LEDC staff to ensure all work is integrated and visible.

Use shared systems (Airtable, Google Drive, etc.) to track projects, timelines, and contacts.

Participate in regular planning and coordination meetings.
 

Volunteer and Committee Coordination 

Support communication with committees and volunteers as needed.

Coordinate input and feedback from committees to inform programming, while maintaining alignment with LEDC priorities.

 

Qualifications

 

Experience:

Minimum of 3 years coordinating creative spaces, programs, or events.

Demonstrated ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team.

Strong organizational skills and attention to detail..

Background in the events or arts administration.

 

Skills:

Strong communication skills and the ability to work in active collaboration with staff, volunteers, and community partners.

Ability to manage multiple projects while staying aligned with shared timelines and priorities.

High level of accountability, follow-through, and transparency.

Ability to perform basic installations.

Proficiency with Airtable, Adobe Suite, Square, Constant Contact, Google Workspace, Adobe Acrobat/Sign, Excel, and social media platforms.

 

What Success Looks Like

First 30 Days

Builds a clear understanding of LEDC’s programs, priorities, systems, and internal workflows.

Establishes consistent communication with the Executive Director and office team, including regular check-ins and active participation in shared planning.

Reviews past exhibitions, events, and metrics to understand what has worked and where there are gaps.

Becomes proficient in LEDC’s core systems (Airtable, Google Drive, Constant Contact, etc.) and begins maintaining accurate, up-to-date records.

Begins supporting active projects and timelines with clear coordination and follow-through.

 

First 90 Days

Independently managing exhibition and event timelines while staying fully aligned with LEDC’s shared calendar, staffing capacity, and organizational priorities.

Proactively communicating updates, needs, and challenges to the team, ensuring no work is happening in isolation.

Successfully planning and executing at least one exhibition, program, or event from start to finish with strong coordination across staff and volunteers.

Strengthening committees through consistent communication and active recruitment of new members.

Contributing to marketing and outreach efforts in a way that aligns with LEDC’s broader strategy and voice.

Demonstrating reliability, responsiveness, and the ability to both take initiative and integrate feedback.

At 90 days, success in this role looks like someone who is fully embedded in the organization’s workflow, contributing to shared goals, and operating as a collaborative, communicative team member rather than an independent silo.

This is a part-time contracted position. This position's hours would fluctuate severely depending on the week. We anticipate an average of 14 - 16 hours per week with the acknowledgment that weeks where we have festivals will require more hours. 

This position has the opportunity to be primarily remote outside of events and a weekly staff meeting. However, we encourage coming into the office at least one day a week in order to connect with the team 

The ideal start date is early-mid August 2026. 

Pay for this position is $20-$22 per hour, depending on experience.
