About the Role
The Weitzman is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented PJFM Assistant to support Philadelphia Jewish Film and Media, a program of The Weitzman.
The primary focus of this role is Unapologetically Jewish, PJFM’s national social-first Jewish creator initiative. The PJFM Assistant will help coordinate the program from application launch through creator onboarding, content production, audience engagement, final event execution, reporting, and follow-up.
The role will also support PJFM’s broader film and media programming, including screenings, festivals, receptions, public programs, ticketing, audience check-in, data entry, and general administrative tasks.
This is a hands-on support role for someone who is organized, responsive, flexible, and comfortable working across digital media, Jewish cultural programming, live events, audience services, and administrative systems.

Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have one to three years of relevant experience in administrative support, program coordination, event support, ticketing, customer service, communications, social media, nonprofit work, arts and culture, Jewish communal work, or a related field.
Successful candidates should have strong organizational skills, excellent written and verbal communication, sound judgment, discretion, and careful attention to detail. This role requires someone who can manage multiple deadlines, track information accurately, follow up consistently, and communicate professionally with creators, applicants, staff, volunteers, partners, vendors, filmmakers, guests, and public audiences.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office is preferred, especially Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams. Candidates should be comfortable working with spreadsheets, shared calendars, forms, internal documents, and basic data-entry systems. Willingness to learn ticketing systems, audience registration platforms, box office procedures, and internal database or CRM tools is required.
Because Unapologetically Jewish is a social-first creator initiative, candidates should have working familiarity with Instagram and basic social media language, including posts, Reels, Stories, handles, engagement, shares, saves, comments, and reach. Advanced social media strategy experience is not required, but comfort with social media tracking and digital content coordination is strongly preferred.
Evening and weekend availability is required for Unapologetically Jewish activities, PJFM screenings, festivals, and special events.
