Felt+Fat is looking for a Philly-based freelance Social Media Manager to help manage and grow our social media accounts.

We’re looking for someone who is social media obsessed, deeply tuned into what’s trending, what’s going viral, and which emerging content formats, hooks, sounds, memes, editing styles, and creator trends are actually worth jumping on for a brand like Felt+Fat.

What you’ll do

Manage our Instagram content calendar and posting cadence

Visit our Kensington studio 1x/week to capture photo and video content on iPhone

Create and edit Reels, Stories, carousels, and posts using tools like CapCut and Canva

Proactively identify viral trends, new content formats, trending sounds, hooks, memes, and editing styles and adapt them for Felt+Fat

Bring fresh, timely content ideas to the table each week, not just execute a pre-set calendar

Engage with our existing 59K+ follower community and help grow the audience

Coordinate Collab posts, creator/restaurant partnerships, and occasional giveaways

Work with our marketing team around key promotions and DTC campaigns

Submit weekly content for approval before posting

What we’re looking for

3 to 5 years of social media experience

Strong Instagram and short-form video experience

A genuine obsession with social media culture and a strong instinct for what is about to trend, not just what already has

Experience with restaurants, coffee shops, or hospitality brands is a must

Great instincts for what performs organically on social

Comfortable shooting and editing content independently

Organized, proactive, and full of creative ideas

Philadelphia-based and available for weekly shoots in Kensington

Retainer: approximately $1,500 - $2,500 / month - scope + experience dependent
