Spring Point Partners | Philadelphia, PA | www.thespringpoint.com
Founded in Philadelphia, Spring Point Partners, LLC (Spring Point) is a social impact organization that invests in the transformational leaders, networks, and solutions that power community change and advance justice.
We do this by seeking out and supporting community leaders who have the vision to see what’s possible and the drive to make that real; connecting the experience of partners with comprehensive and flexible supports for shared learning and impact; and investing in innovative ideas and adaptive solutions that can spark and scale change for all.
Whether we’re partnering on youth development, equity in learning, animal welfare, economic justice, leadership, or investing in new business models that close opportunity gaps and boost social and economic mobility, we center equity and justice in all we do, supporting individuals and ideas that can have a catalytic impact in their communities and on our society.
Together, let’s change the way social impact is achieved.
ABOUT THE HIVE
The Hive is Spring Point’s dedicated learning and convening space, designed to bring people together for thoughtful gatherings, collaboration, and shared learning. Located in Philadelphia, The Hive serves as a central environment where partners, leaders, and teams come together for meaningful dialogue, strategy, and reflection.
More than a physical space, The Hive is an extension of Spring Point’s approach to impact—intentionally designed to foster connection, support learning, and create an environment where ideas and relationships can grow.
The Events Manager plays a key role in bringing The Hive to life through thoughtfully designed and well-executed convenings. The role leads the planning and execution of SPP-led events held at The Hive, helping ensure each experience reflects Spring Point’s goals, values, and standards for care and excellence. The Events Manager also supervises the Venue & Events Coordinator, who oversees the day-to-day readiness and operation of the space.
ABOUT THE POSITION
The Events Manager reports to the Director of Learning and leads the design, planning, coordination, and execution of Spring Point Partners events, including in-person, virtual, and hybrid experiences held at The Hive, FMC Tower, external venues, and online. Serving as the central owner of convening execution and experience across Spring Point, this role ensures consistent, high-quality, mission-aligned events that strengthen relationships, advance learning, and extend the impact of Spring Point’s work.
The Events Manager oversees the operational details, logistics, budgets, and cross-functional coordination required for successful event delivery and supervises the Venue & Events Coordinator (Coordinator). Convenings at The Hive are an important part of this work, with the Events Manager providing oversight and support to help ensure The Hive, other event venues, and virtual platforms meet Spring Point’s convening goals and signature standards for care and excellence.
While Learning leadership collaborates with programmatic team members to define the strategy, purpose, content, and desired outcomes of convenings, the Events Manager partners closely with those teams to translate their goals into thoughtfully designed and well-executed experiences. From initial concept through post-event reflection, the Events Manager shapes the participant experience, leads timely planning and execution, and exercises independent judgment to manage priorities, navigate tradeoffs, and deliver strong outcomes across a range of event formats and environments.
This is a full-time, benefits-eligible role that follows Spring Point’s hybrid schedule, working remotely on Mondays and Fridays and onsite three days per week. The typical onsite schedule will include two days at FMC Tower and one day at The Hive. Additional onsite presence at The Hive or other event locations will be required based on event schedules, operational needs, or coverage requirements, including support for larger-scale Hive events and backup coverage when the Venue & Events Coordinator is unavailable. The role also requires flexibility for periodic evening work, occasional weekend work, and overnight travel.
