InLiquid’s Programming Assistant will focus on supporting the Programming and Exhibitions Department through installation and art handling assistance and in-person inventory and archive assistance.
InLiquid presents up to 40 exhibitions and 50 programs a year through the InLiquid Gallery and seven satellite locations. This robust programming and exhibition schedule offers ample opportunities for the Programming Assistant to learn about a wide range of programming, from member to public-facing, and how best to plan, market, and execute.
The Art Handler & Studio Assistant will be the newest addition to a small, agile team. They will often be off-site at various satellite locations throughout Philadelphia, with the Programming Assistant receiving artwork in situ and installing and deinstalling exhibition pieces. This position requires attention to detail, the ability to follow exhibition floor plans, and excellent communication skills. Previous art handling is highly preferred.
The Art Handler & Studio Assistant will play a key role in maintaining InLiquid’s inventory database and digital archive of in-office artwork at the Crane Arts Building.
